A:

As the Johnson Controls TEC3630-14-000 Thermostat Controller is a BACnet  or networked device you may need to contact your building automation specialist to access the unit and provide configurable programming.

Alternatively, if the following features are available, you may be able to update on your own.

To change the passcode of a typical Johnson Controls thermostat controller, you will need to follow these steps:

  1. Access the programming menu by pressing and holding the "MODE" and "SCROLL" buttons at the same time for about 5 seconds.

  2. Use the "SCROLL" button to navigate to the "SETUP" menu, and then press the "ENTER" button.

  3. Scroll down to "PASSWORD," and press "ENTER" to select it.

  4. You will be prompted to enter the current passcode. If you do not know the current passcode, you may need to contact Johnson Controls technical support for assistance.

  5. Once you have entered the current passcode, you will be prompted to enter a new passcode. Use the numeric keypad on the controller to enter the new passcode, and then press "ENTER."

  6. You will be prompted to confirm the new passcode. Enter the new passcode again, and then press "ENTER."

  7. Once you have confirmed the new passcode, the controller will save the new password and return you to the programming menu.

Please note that the exact steps may vary depending on the specific model of the Johnson Controls thermostat controller you are working with, so it's always a good idea to consult the product manual or contact Johnson Controls technical support for assistance if you are unsure about any step.
